Wine tasting treat

点评：My wife and I went on a wine tasting last week at this small vineyard near to our hotel. The winery produces a number of organic wines and we tasted 3 wines all f which were kept in a Amfora (terracotta vat) which imbibed a distinctive and delightful earthy taste.
We were hosted by Tess who showed us around the winery and gave us a synopsis of how the wines are made from grape to wine and also of the Ibiza herbal digestive which is served at the end of many a meal out in the Balearics.
Tess served delicious accompaniments to our wine tasting including delicious local cheeses and sausages and unsalted sourdough bread which went down very well with the extra virgin olive oil which is produced by the Bodega at a different location. Very tasty and we did buy a couple of bottles at the airport on our way home. They also sell different salts and we also bought the Balsamic salt at the airport.
This is a small vineyard producing excellent products but easy to miss so if you are reading this and are thinking of doing something different whilst holidaying on this wondrous Isle, then look no further than this.
