Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center的点评
点评：This might have been the worst venue I’ve ever visited. I wish I could support this venue, but it was a terrible experience. Let’s start with the fact that it’s located in what looks like a house/pizza shop. The signage is not very clear and we ended up walking right past it for a few blocks. The show was to start at 7:30 pm and when we passed at 7pm there were a few people gathering outside (we thought to pick up their pizza), and by the time we circled back a few moments later, the line was very long. We waited and chatted with the folks in front of us who informed us that they were waiting in the same line for the 10 PM SHOW! And that the line was for everyone - folks for the 7:30 and 10 pm show and anyone picking up pizza. What?! At this point we’re concerned we are going to be late for the show. When we get in the doors, we see that we have to go through security and get a wrist band and the we have to go through another line that wraps all the way around inside the building to get to another area to get wristbands for where we’ll sit.
Here is where I have my major issue: I purchased the most expensive tickets so we could be in the front area. There were 3 tiers. When we get to the wristband area, I show them my tickets via my wallet app from Ticketmaster, but they just say Gen Admission. They ask us what tier and I say I paid to be up front. They then ask us to step aside while people are now passing us to pull up my confirmation email from Ticketmaster showing the tier. I’m panicking and can’t find anything that shows our tier, so I’m getting frustrated. The gentleman handing out wristbands tells me it’s ok and says he’s giving us the bands for the front section, however, when we actually get inside, the opening act is already performing, and there are only 3 seats together in the next to last row of the theater. We had to sit there even though I paid more to sit closest to the stage. No one from the venue was working the room to show people where they could sit, so people who should have been in the back because they paid less, just waltzed up to the front and sat where they wanted!
We still enjoyed the show, but if we ever go back (not likely), I would arrive at least an hour before the show, and I would not pay more for seats up front. The worst part is that we drove 4 hours to get there for this show. This venue needs to up its game big time.
