Fantastic show ruined by shocking security and irresponsible alcohol service

点评：We visited Funny Girls on Friday 10th October 2025 for the Halloween Spooktacular, booking the VIP package with food. While the meal itself was delicious, the service was painfully slow, with long gaps between courses that really took away from the experience.
The show, however, was brilliant. DJ Carmen was outstanding — funny, engaging, and the highlight of the night. The performers were top-class and the entertainment was exactly what you’d hope for from Funny Girls.
Sadly, everything else fell apart due to the way staff handled an appalling situation. A couple seated several booths away became increasingly drunk and disruptive. Despite multiple warnings about their behaviour, staff continued to serve them alcohol. This was completely irresponsible and set the stage for what followed.
The man began taking belongings from another guest and turned aggressive when challenged. Security were nowhere to be seen at first and, when they did appear, were totally ineffective. Guests around the area had to step in themselves just to stop things escalating further.
To make matters worse, both individuals began shouting vile homophobic slurs towards a male couple who stood their ground against these people — in Funny Girls of all places. It was disgusting and deeply disappointing to witness, especially in a venue that should feel safe and inclusive.
The whole situation could and should have been prevented if staff had stopped serving them and if security had done their job properly. What should have been a fun, memorable evening was completely ruined by a lack of control and poor management.
Funny Girls — please take this seriously. Your show and performers are incredible, but you desperately need to improve your alcohol policy and security. No guest should ever have to experience something like this again.
