★★★★★ Massively exceeded our expectations
Aquaworld Aquarium & Reptile Rescue Centre的点评
点评：During a prolonged rain shower while staying in Koutouloufari in October 2026, we decided to wander down into Hersonissos and visit Aquaworld Aquarium & Reptile Rescue Centre with our two children.
On arrival, standing in the rain, we found ourselves queuing outside what I genuinely thought was someone’s residence! When I realised that this actually was the aquarium, I’ll admit that I wasn’t expecting a great deal.
I was very wrong.
From the moment we went inside, the staff were incredibly welcoming and there was a fantastic variety of fish and other animals to see.
One of the real highlights was meeting the owner and founder of the centre, who came over to feed one of the resident turtles, Stephanie. He explained that she had arrived at the centre blind as a youngster and had now been cared for there for many years. Listening to him talk about her and the other animals made it very clear how much genuine care goes into looking after them.
He also told us about the numerous octopuses the centre has rescued and cared for over the years. At the time of our visit they had two, which we were told were due to be released back into the wild very soon. It was lovely to hear that rehabilitation and release, where possible, is such an important part of what they do.
Out the back is the reptile area, where staff were handling snakes and a large lizard, while a tortoise casually wandered around amongst everyone! It was a much more personal and interactive experience than we had expected and our whole family thoroughly enjoyed it.
I’m extremely pleased that the rain led us to Aquaworld. Don’t be put off by its modest appearance from the outside — what initially looked like a small attraction turned out to be one of those unexpected little highlights of our holiday.

最令人难忘的环节之一就是见到了中心的创办人兼负责人。他亲自前来喂食馆内的一只海龟——斯蒂芬妮。他介绍说，斯蒂芬妮小时候失明后被送到了这里，多年来一直得到中心的悉心照料。听他讲述关于斯蒂芬妮及其他动物的故事，便能深切感受到这里的人们对动物们倾注了多少真挚的关爱。他还向我们介绍了这些年来该中心救助并照料过的众多章鱼。我们到访时，中心里有两只章鱼，据称它们很快就会被放归大自然。听说在条件允许的情况下，康复治疗与放归野生环境是他们工作的重要组成部分，这真让人欣慰。
后院是爬行动物区，工作人员正在照料蛇类以及一只大蜥蜴，而一只乌龟则悠闲地在人群中漫步呢！这次体验比我们预想的更加贴心且富有互动性，我们全家人都乐在其中。
我很庆幸这场雨让我们发现了Aquaworld。可别被它外表的朴素所误导——乍看之下只是个小型景点，结果它却成了我们假期中意想不到的亮点之一。
这里远远超出了我们的预期，显然是由一群真正热爱自己所照顾的动物的人们在经营。如果你在赫索尼索斯，绝对值得一去。
