Mission Point Lighthouse的点评
点评：This old lighthouse and the surrounding area is pretty cool! Honestly, I was most surprised by the amount of people hanging out on the beach and walking around and playing in the water in front of the lighthouse. There were beach goers everywhere!
The lighthouse and the yard around it were not accessible today… “Closed” … however, it was a beautiful day and it made for taking some good photos.
The water on the beach is very shallow (knee deep) to about 200-300 yards from the shoreline. The water was clear and very warm. There was a lot of beach to make your “camp” for the day. It’s easy to find a place in the shade as well. Parking is limited.
The 1800’s log cabin on site was pretty cool to see and read about. You could look through the windows, but unable to go inside.
There is a water spigot on top of the beach trail to wash off your feet before you leave to get back in your car.
This was not an expected part of our trip to Mission Peninsula today, but sure glad we took the opportunity to spend some time here today.
