Lake Wabby - swim with catfish

点评：Easy to miss the sign as driving inland. Drive in to road that says Lake Wabby lookout. Small car park. We got there 11:30am and got one of the last parking spots. Short walk to amazing lookout of enormous sand dune and a bit of the lake. Was overcast so didn’t have problems with hot sand that others mentioned. Challenging, steep walk at times - (30-40 min one way) for those that are not fit or able to do.
Bring lots of water, hats, umbrellas as no shade… Not allowed to bring food-to discourage dingoes. Great swimming in emerald green waters, it gets deep, quickly though- Bring blow up donuts. Or boogie boards if u want to slide down steep dune into lake. We had fun with the big catfish and lots of small fish that nibbled on our legs/feet. Saw a turtle pop its head up. There were a few groups of people around.
