A Hidden Gem Near Málaga – Castillo de Colomares

点评：Castillo de Colomares is one of the most charming and unique places we visited near Málaga. Although it’s quite compact, every corner of this castle is incredibly picturesque. It’s a beautiful and creative homage to Christopher Columbus and the history of exploration, and you can see the incredible attention to detail in the architecture and design.
The castle sits above Benalmádena, offering stunning views over the town and out to the Mediterranean Sea. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s a wonderful spot for photos. Despite its small size, there’s so much to admire—from intricate carvings and symbolic structures to a small exhibition that explains the inspiration and story behind the monument.
One of the best things about visiting is how easy and relaxed the experience is. Ticketing is quick and affordable, and when we visited there were no long queues. You can comfortably explore the entire site in about 30 minutes to an hour, making it a perfect short stop if you’re exploring the Costa del Sol.
It’s also very conveniently located—just a short drive from Málaga and Málaga Airport. There’s even a café nearby where you can relax after your visit and enjoy the lovely surroundings.
