点评:The hotel zone in San Jose Del Cabo has a wide beach out in front of it. The beach has very coarse sand towards the back, becoming finer as you go down to the water. All the reviews say it’s too dangerous to swim in the beach, due to undertow, rip tides, and an unpredictable and rapid fall-off underwater. That having been said, you will see a few people in the water, although I didn’t see any swimming the day we went. One challenge I found was getting access to the beach. Some of the areas that area supposed to be access points have locked gates across them. The only three we found were:
1) the most famous one (between the two Royal Solaris properties and across the street from Santo Pulpo). Google maps shows “Playa Ocampo” as an icon at the southern end of the passage.
2) One down the end of Bahia Del Las Palmas, next to Viva 14 (there may also be a nearby one next to Las Mananitas.
3) One on the east end of Paseo Malecon just east of the Vidanta resort that is labelled as a public access point on Google maps.
There are far fewer vendors here than on Medano beach, and my family enjoyed visiting twice during our week in San Jose Del Cabo. Note the water much of the year can be pretty cold as well – in the low 70’s Farenheit when we visited.
