Green Valley Waterfalls的点评
点评：What a beautiful, special place! To us, this is now a core memory for us, somewhere we stumbled on by mistake while exploring the Troodos mountains and decided to give it a go - thank god we did! The lovely man greeted us with free fruit he had grown himself in his garden, lovely peaches, grapes and plums. We then went on our decent to the waterfall which was truely magical - we expected a simple short walk, but were greeted with a grove of trees that made an archway, and walked along by peacocks and chickens. There were signs labelling the trees and little seating areas built out as you walked through which were so cute! There was a wishing well half way down where you could stop for photos and to make a wish. Once we were at the bottom we found ourselves in a secluded cove and were in awe of the place this family had built. The waterfall was stunning and it was so tranquil, romantic and breathtaking - having it totally to ourselves made it so special to us. There was furniture and signs and even a little wooden tiki shack style bar to pose for photos.
The water was cold and refreshing and we had so much fun daring each other to take a dip!
Once we were back at the top, we purchased some more of the beautiful fresh fruit from the family and made a lovely peach flan with them!
We believe an experience is what you make of it - it may not be commercialised and packed with tourists and yes it’s a bit rough and ready but truely we felt this was special and for the price of only €5 we made memories for life! Dont believe the negative reviews - try it for yourself and make your own memories!
