点评:My daughter and I stopped by around 8:30 am on the first Saturday in July after getting several recommendations to go. The market is huge! There are more than 200 vendors. Some are big names like Auntie Anne’s but most are local shops and craftspeople.
As tourists in the Finger Lakes, we weren’t really the right audience for most of items available. There was beautiful Amish-made wood furniture and comfortable outdoor dining and seating sets. There were lots of handmade items, some of them at great prices and some not. If you are looking for baked goods, you are in the right place. I bought a delicious strawberry-rhubarb pie for $6.50, a couple of whoopie pies for $1 each, and found a grape pie out of season (the Finger Lakes are known for their grape pies but they are out of season in July). Some of the local wineries also hosted a booth and I added another bottle to my dry Riesling collection. My daughter found a cute embroidered Finger Lakes sweatshirt from a really nice embroidery booth (the owner also runs a shop in Dundee).
I believe the Windmill is only open on Saturdays but most often structures are permanent and the vendors brought plenty of merchandise to peruse. It was worth a stop to check it out. When we left around 9:30, the parking lot was really filling up, so I suggest getting there early if you can.
