点评:We have wanted to visit this museum for years but as it only opens every Tuesday and one Sunday a month, it has been hard to sort a date.
We were really impressed by our visit - staff are very knowledgeable and love sharing their stories.
Some highlights were:
- gentleman on Chamberlain floor that told us all about paratroopers
- gentleman on top floor who knew so much about military planes
- gentleman who greeted us on our way in and shared his love of the building
- ladies in cafe who offered my six year old a job after he cleared our table
- gentleman in basement who told us all about the well
The only downpoint of our entire visit was my son being scolded in the shop when he picked up a toy to see what was in the box "Don't touch that toy!"
There is a wealth of memorabilia from the local area. Such a gem of a place!
