点评：We fish here regularly, catch lots of fish and find the bailiff to be especially friendly and helpful. However there are a number of issues. Some of the swims are not well maintained, with thick clumps of reed either directly in front or intruding onto the platforms from the sides. Despite the requirement to use barbless hooks, about a quarter of the carp we catch on the main lake have serious damage to their mouths. There is also no control over the amount of groundbait being chucked in. This is a well stocked fishery, with big carp distributed all over the fishery yet some anglers feel the need to fill in their swim with a barrage of bait spodded in at the start and throughout the fishing. There also needs to be some inspection of the tackle being used. On 1st September, we spotted a couple who had obviously come straight from the beach with their sea fishing tackle. Light beachcaster rods set up at angle of 45 degrees with line that was certainly 20lb plus breaking strain.
We find the great majority of anglers at Passies are friendly, competent anglers who care about the environment and are keen to cause as little harm as possible to the fishery and the fish they catch. There is however a small minority of rogue anglers who need to be kept under control.
