Epping Ongar Railway的点评
点评：My partner and I went on the Epping Ongar Railway on Monday 25th August and what a fabulous trip it turned out to be.
This trip was booked through Fox and Edwards Events Ltd and was advertised as a Steam Train Trip with Fish and Chips. Unfortunately on the day the Steam Engine had given up the ghost, as it had already completed three rotations earlier in the day, and we were transported from North Weald to Ongar and return by the diesel engine.
Olly Edwards was on board the train prior to our departure and spoke to all the passengers to inform us of the situation regarding the broken down engine but informed us that the trip would still go ahead as planned all be it with the diesel engine. He was very upfront and pro-active and even offered us a complimentary trip, by way of compensation at a later date complete with the Steam Engine. I feel this was far above the call of duty. What First Class Customer Service.
In the event the train journey was lovely, the brilliant sunshine helped and the fish and chips amazing. Due to the large amount of passengers to be served I was worried that it would be cold and soggy! In fact it was hot, crispy and very tasty. What’s not to like?
All the staff we encountered on the day couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.
I received an email yesterday to offer us a complimentary trip for 1st November.
