点评：The Hot Dog Muffler Man is prominent both in sources about Route 66 and also for fans of Muffler men, which were used on Muffler Man shops throughout the United States during the 1960s. There is an entire site devoted to tracking the surviving ones.
This is a very well preserved one, with the addition of a hot dog apparently used for a hot dog shop in the past.
While this is a great photo op, Atlanta is a real sight along the Old Route 66. It has a charming, compact downtown. The octagonal library is two short blocks away. The brand new American Giants museum is a block in the other direction, housed in a newer building designed to look like an old Texaco station. They all add up together for a fun sight with lots of chances to take pictures. Some of this is seasonal, so come in nicer weather.
