点评:We visited the beach a couple of times during our stay in the vicinity, having parked in the village and walked along the path beyond The Captain’s Table bar/restaurant and the marina. As we neared the mouth of the River Findhorn we ended up walking along pebbles and as the shoreline curved around there was a decent stretch of sand right along the coast. At this point there are colorful beach huts backed up against the dunes to add to the scene. Steps lead over the dunes to a public parking area and a caravan park which we walked through to return to the village. The Kimberley Inn provided refreshments each time.
On both days the shore was exposed to wind (and squally showers) so not the place to be sunbathing despite visiting in June. Even a flock of birds flying into the wind gave up and landed on a spit of sand offshore presumably waiting until conditions improved.
It’s a good spot for a breath of fresh air and some exercise. In theory you could walk as far as Burghead however we returned to the car, drove to Roseisle Country Park and walked through the forest, onto the beach again and along to Burghead via the shore.
