点评：The Christmas Story- The confident character portrayals by the three main characters along with their well-toned voices, was extraordinary! I purchased tickets after driving by your quaint venue while away on a long weekend family trip. Besides an evening out, our small group, ages 8-70 had no expectations. We all came away impressed with the production. I so enjoyed the delightfully nuanced actors Ryan Cook, Finn Naughton and Naomi Yvette.. Ryan and Naomi had beautiful tone, and with the strong voice of Finn, each brought a quality that lifted your work from being another locally crafted experience to a more polished production. But I am not without complaints. Oh the audio! I understand this was opening night. Problems happen. Mics don’t work, etc. However, the accompanying/incidental music was a distracting, and for my acute hearing, an almost painful sensation. Surely the director, or anyone involved who was listening, could have helped the sound tech to adjust volume between songs. Second act was better, but for me it was a difficult Act One. Besides that, I would consider attending future productions despite a 2-hour RT drive in the future ( fingers crossed the audio improves).
