Not the relaxing day we planned

点评：Booked a spa day as a nice relaxing treat before our wedding. Arrived to a busy gym reception desk to be told we have to pay £10 plus a £10 deposit each for a spa day bag. I said we don’t need that and will just use a towel, but even a towel on its own costs £10! Don’t think I’ve ever been to a spa where you have to pay for this.
It isn’t somewhere you could spend more than a couple of hours. The whole place looks like it could do with a good clean and freshen up, the pool couldn’t really be used as it is setup for lane swimmers and you have to sit in your robes in a busy cafe area on display to the car park and people passing by waiting to be called for your treatment - it certainly feels as though the gym have just added a spa name to this as an afterthought.
The treatment was very nice although they wouldn’t give us separate rooms so we ended up in the same room.
If you’re looking for a relaxing spa day, without being in the middle of a very busy gym environment, I’d look elsewhere. We were in and out within 2 hours.
