点评:Wow. What a great tour under the tunnels.
I took the Deep Sheltered Tour that last approx 1hr and half. First you watch a 10 mins introduction film on health and safety and about the tunnels as well. Wearing of hard hats, It's optional if you are under 6ft 2inch, I'm glad I did cos I clipped a sticking out metal rod that holds lighting cables, as I veered to the left I heard a clunck on my hat !
It can be uneven but it's not to bad. Wear flat shoes as well..Rucksacks can be left in the cinema room as well as push chairs.
The two Gentleman who took us all down were fantastic, I loved the stories they told about how people managed to survive and work down there. There's even a street that some residents slept in their make shift shelters with their sheltered door numbers on the outside so the postman could deliver their mail.
All of the staff were so friendly, there is a small cafe onsight and the nearest toliet is a 5 - 7 mins walk to the harbour. There is a small museum near the entrance as you come in.
