点评：Susiya is an ancient Jewish town crowned by a synagogue with Temple motif mosaic remnants and inscriptions, roughly from 2000 years ago to 1400 years ago, which was suddenly and deliberately abandoned by its inhabitants. Partially excavated and preserved, visitors can enter above ground and underground domiciles and agricultural facilities to understand life in Israel at that time. The synagogue faces north towards Jerusalem and has a system of underground tunnels for protection, of which one has been prepared for visitors , with a surprising exit I to the well-built synagogue compound. The inscriptions even tell stories and carry dates, which give us a range.
Another layer of musical and visual presentations adds to the uniqueness of the place. The visitor center carries a range of items produced locally- wines, cosmetics and more.
One can drive south of Hevron or take more major roads towards Arad, ascend past Tel Arad and arrive shortly thereafter.
