Kingslakes Holiday Cottages的点评
点评：We have just returned from a 7 NT break here at Kingslakes. Booked originally to enable my father to Fish whilst we went off doing our own thing.
1st impressions on arrival were how immaculate the grounds looked, a lot of care and attention had been given to the entire site. We hired the Fox glove lodge which is advertised as a luxury lodge with hot tub on its own enclosed decked area.
On arrival, there were 4 cream teas left for each of us in our party along with tea,coffee, sugar and fresh milk. , a welcome gesture after a 6hr drive to reach the park.
There was also a doggy welcome pack
The property had 3 bedrooms comprising of 2 rooms with king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms, the 3rd room had 2 full size single beds, with easy access to a main family bathroom, with shower over the bath.
All bed linen and towels supplied,including an extra towel and bath robe for the hot tub per person.
The lodge was extremely well presented, and was clean and tidy, I'm extremely critical when we have paid good money for a holiday regards the standard of cleanliness and I only found 2 minor irks, One was a very small amount of brown timescale on the bottom of the shower door which I blasted with the shower and it came off easily, and a layer of thick dust behind the bedroom door. Other than that the rest of the lodge was spotless.
The Hot tub was perfect and in full working order, and easy to take the lid off and get into the tub due to it being partially sunken into the decking. The groundsmen checked the water daily.
The park isn't a big park with lots of accomodation, resulting in families making lots of noise, children running amok etc, there are 7 lodges together facing a beautiful lake with acres of trees surrounded the park and it's multitude of fishing lakes, along with some other lodges the other side of the park which we didn't see, and some cottages up near the bar and restaurant . As a whole the week was full of fishermen with wives relaxing enjoying the glorious weather.
There was an abundance of wildlife, and so quiet, it was perfect. The lodges had wall to wall sunshine on the decking all day.
Regarding the fishing, I can't really comment due to the weather being extremely hot, and the fish not wanting to be caught, something everyone who fished seemed to be commenting on, I believe the fish had also just finished spawning. However, the frustration was the fact you could see them sun bathing on the top, or jumping out of the water right Infront of you, we suspect they were having a laugh at all the gents sat patiently trying to catch them . They certainly were a very good size, and we're established on the lake for a long time.
If fishing you are required to soak your nets and mats in the disinfectant tub before fishing, and a separate shed is provided for keeping live bait in. Both are located near reception.
The staff were lovely, very chatty and full of knowledge.
There are also mobility scooters with trailers available to higher for those less able bodied, and you can also book the groundsmen to collect you and drop you off at your chosen lake which is a lovely personal touch.
My only complaints are as follows.
The coffee mugs are more like cups, nowhere near big enough if you prefer a standard mug size drink.
No pint glasses.
No fans available.
We are looking forward to rebooking, potentially an autumn break next time.
I hope the site remains as it is as it's perfect , and doesn't expand as so many others have in the area, it always ruins it when more and more lodges are added.

整个小屋布置得极为精致，环境也干净整洁。我们花了不少钱来度假，因此对卫生标准要求很高。我只发现了两处小问题：一是淋浴门底部有极少量褐色的污渍，用淋浴水一冲就掉了；二是卧室门后有一层厚厚的灰尘。除此之外，小屋的其他地方都干干净净。
热水浴缸也堪称完美，运转正常。由于浴缸部分嵌入在木制平台上，因此很容易打开盖子并进入其中。园丁们每天都会检查水质。
这个公园并不大，也没有很多住宿设施，因此不会出现家庭游客喧闹不已、小孩到处乱跑等情况。公园内有7栋小屋，面朝一个美丽的湖泊，周围环绕着大片树林；公园里还有众多垂钓湖。此外，公园另一侧还有一些我们没去参观的小屋。在酒吧和餐厅附近还有一些小木屋。整个一周里，到处都是正在享受美好天气的渔夫们和他们的妻子们。
这里有丰富的野生动植物，环境极其宁静，堪称完美。那些小木屋的露台上整整一天都洒满了阳光。
至于垂钓情况，由于天气极其炎热，鱼儿也不肯上钩，我实在没什么可说的——似乎所有去钓鱼的人都在抱怨这一点。我认为那些鱼也刚完成产卵。不过让人无奈的是，你能看到它们在水面晒太阳，或者就在你面前跃出水面；我们猜想它们是在嘲笑那些耐心蹲守、试图捕捉它们的钓客吧。它们的体型确实相当大，而且在这个湖里已经生存了很久。
如果是钓鱼的话，事先必须将渔网和垫布浸泡在消毒桶中。还有一个独立的棚屋用来存放活饵。这两处设施都位于接待处附近。
工作人员非常友善，健谈且知识渊博。
对于行动不便的游客，这里还提供带拖车的代步车出租服务；您也可以预约园丁开车接送您前往心仪的湖泊，这一贴心的服务真是非常棒。
我唯一的几点不满如下：
那些咖啡杯其实更像是普通杯子罢了。如果你喜欢标准大小的杯子来喝饮料的话，这里的容量远远不够。
没有品脱杯可供使用。
也没有风扇可用。
我们期待着再次预订，下次可能会在秋天来度假。
希望这个地方能保持原貌——它已经完美无缺了；也希望它不要像周边的许多地方那样不断扩建，因为每增加一栋小屋都会破坏这里的美好氛围。
