点评:We love finding small bookstores on our travels so when I saw this one on google while visiting the area, we had to seek it out. I literally told my kiddo as we walked in how we always make a purchase so as to support small bookstores. And yet....it seems this one doesn't need our patronage.
Its a charming little building - the selection is very small, but we were excited to see there was a decent corner of kids books. My little one sat right down in the adorably placed little rocker to choose between a handful of books, while I browsed. The woman at the counter never so much as looked up at us. I'm not the sort who feels we need to be greeted - so this didn't bother me, but I certainly did notice it. In the middle of my browsing the lights went out. And then the little woman from the counter came over and told us simply "we're closed". No warning that they were about to close, or any question of, would you like to purchase the items your carrying around. Didn't so much as ask us to leave before literally turning off the lights.... Just we're closed after the fact. When I asked if we could still purchase the book my kiddo had in her hands, she told us only if we paid cash since she had already shut everything down.
Obviously we didn't end up making a purchase....and honestly when my kid asked about going back the next day to get the book she had wanted, I had no desire to stop by again. Seems an incredibly odd way to treat customers....though now that I'm reading the other reviews here, I'm a little less surprised by it.
