点评:We visited the Pink Elephant Antique Mall as part of a trip along the old Route 66. If you are here for that reason, because you like roadside attractions like old Muffler Men, or just want to see some weird mid-century modern stuff, this has them in spades. If not this might not be your thing.
Many Route 66 guides list this attraction because of the tall fiberglass figures outside, including a big pink elephant (hence the name), another gray elephant sprouting out the side of the building, a "Uniroyal Gal," 1-1/2 flying saucers, and Muffler Man. There is a kind of retro diner there and a somewhat nostalgic candy store.
The building is housed in what appears to be an old school building with a large gym packed with stalls. There are thousands of objects for sale - I'm not sure that most would qualify as antiques, but we liked seeing odd things like "uranium glass" dishes, cookie jars, odd salt and paper shakers (like monkeys with fezzes), etc.. It was just fun to poke around.
This is a great stop if you are touring the Old Route 66 or if you just like Americana. Others might want to skip it.
