Salt Creek Falls的点评
点评：My initial purpose for visiting Salt Creek was:
(1) Something to do between Ashland & Silverton before our afternoon check-in; (2) motoring thru the Oregon countryside; and (3) Waterfalls are amazing to view; and (4) It's the 2nd highest in the state.
Nevertheless, nothing prepared me for the experience. I literally said, "Wow" upon my initial views.
Our previous visit to Oregon had led us to the autumn foliage of Lithia Park, but that paled in comparison to these fall colors in a natural setting, replete with a lovely cascade.
Many travelers have commented on the convenience of a natural landmark right off the highway, as well as something to break up a long drive and stretch ones legs. This is true. (Speaking of "pit stops," there's 2 vault restrooms at the Sno-Park location, 0.4 miles away).
From the 1st observation deck, there's a 0.5-mile descent on a gravel path. For some, it might be a moderate hike, especially when wet, so you might consider walking poles. And of course, wear shoes with good footing.
This is a memorable visit.
