Great side trip for an afternoon

点评：I had some business in Athens and wanted to take a side trip. I looked at the cruises that do 3 islands but did not want to commit to a 10-12 hour day and lots of boat travel so opted to book my own way to Aegina island. Here are my tips/summary: Booking the ferry is simple and was just 24E both ways. I used ferryhopper.com which was simple and their customer service was great! From my hotel Elektra Metropolis in Athens it was around 25 min. taxi ride. I used uber app to make life simple and it was perfect. The Saronic ferry was the one I chose since they had an 11am departure that would take around an hour and change. Left within 10 mins on time, both ways, and was enjoyable ride. There are snacks avail on board and two inside decks and one outside roof deck. The ferry gets crowded and the best seats go quickly as people race to them and spread out. Aegina was a nice island - mostly eating places and some shops that did not have anything special. I walked around a little - wanted to go to the museum but went the wrong direction which I saw nothing except myself get really tired! I wanted to switch my boat back to an hour before and was able to message ferryhopper and they happily changed the ticket no charge - so everything was perfect. If you go and want to see museum - go to the left of the dock (not towards the small church on the right - opposite direction). I was just too tired to navigate but I will say it was a great side trip for a few hours and highly recommend.
