点评:I had visited the AG-J in July, 2022, my third visit to this 891 mm gauge railway. The members of the Anten Gräfsnäs railway were very friendly and helpful and pleased to see me back again. On this visit I was pleased to see live steam as on my previous visit in 2018 there was only diesel operation as conditions were considered too dry and too high a fire risk for steam operation.
At kvarnabo there was a stop were passengers could alight while the locomotive had it water supply replenished. On arrival at Gräfsnäs the locomotive was uncoupled to be turned on the turntable in preparation for the return journey.
While in Gräfsnäs I recommend that one takes the time to explore the forest trails and also to check out the restaurant and beauty spot on the shores of Lake Anten. Also check out the castle ruins and a parking area near the station were motorcyle and classic car clubs gather.
In 2025 the AG-J hope to have work on the section through the tunnel to Brobacka beside Lake Älandasjön completed and reopened for traffic.
To sum up the AG-J is highly recommended for those interested in live steam as well as the narrow gauge scene. Don't be surprised if like me you will wish to revisit this fine museum railway.
