Kensico Cemetery的点评
点评：Kensico Cemetery is a very large and well maintained cemetery in Westchester County, New York. It is located very close to Gate of Heaven Cemetery where Baseball Greats Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig are resting. If you leave Gate of Heaven and make the very short drive to Kensico, you can visit the grave of another Yankee Great, The Man they called the Iron Horse, Lou Gehrig. This cemetery was established in 1889and is very large, consisting of about 450 acres and close to 175,000 graves. It is filled with beautiful monuments, memorials, and cemetery art. In addition to Lou Gehrig, there are several other Notable people resting here, including Actress Ann Bancroft, Comedian Soupy Sales, Big Band Leader Tommy Dorsey, and actor Danny Kaye. Because of the size of this cemetery, it is almost impossible to locate a grave on your own. Most of the Notable people resting here and many of the other graves have accurate GPS Coordinates on Find-A-Grave that will at least get you close to the grave you are looking for. Overall Kensico Cemetery is very beautiful and exceptionally maintained.
