点评:This museum was a highlight of our trip! We were able to go for free with the Zurich Card. It was easy to get to via the tram. We got to the museum in mid-afternoon and were warmly greeted and given cups of wheat. Then, we were able to grind the wheat using a variety of ancient and modern methods. After that, we went upstairs and followed the clear instructions to make our bread dough, shape it, and prepare it to be baked. (The website has time slots listed for bread-baking, but that didn't seem to matter.) The super nice baker put our breads in the oven and let us know we could return to pick it up after going through the museum. We were able to get English audio guides and learned a lot as we went through the old mill. The only thing I didn't like is that it was difficult to find specific numbers if you wanted to do the audio tour in order. There were several interactive parts to the museum that you could touch, and even a slide. After finishing the museum, we picked up our bread and enjoyed the very nice gift shop. The bread wasn't the best (we were told in advance that it wouldn't be because it's baked without rising and normally you would wait between grinding the wheat and baking with it), we still enjoyed it and especially the satisfaction of having made it completely from scratch. Even though I do bake bread at home, I had a lot of fun with this, and it was a unique, memorable, and unexpected museum experience. I think we will always remember making bread at the mill in Zurich!
