点评：The young man that shuttled us to our truck was great. Very personable and friendly. The people at check in were nice and friendly. I understand what happened to me was out of their control so my rating and review is strictly based on what happened to us on the water. The water level of the river was very high. I had called two days earlier to ask questions about the safety of doing the canoe float and was told the river would be down by the time we went. It did go down some but was still high with a very fast moving current. The guy told us at check in that the river was “well within their safety parameters” so we decided to go. I will regret that decision the rest of my life. My husband and I had the current suck us into some rapids near several downed trees in the water. We hit the tree and capsized. I ended up pinned underwater under the canoe. I tried and tried to push the canoe off of me. The water was so stirred up and not clear that my husband couldn’t figure out where I was at first. He finally got the canoe off me as I was running out of air. I was immediately sucked into the trees and something was choking me and I struggled to keep my head out of the water. Was finally able to get free. I am covered in bruises and cuts and my body feels like I have been run over by a train. But after this near death experience I am extremely grateful I am here to tell my story. We were very close to a completely different outcome.
