Great place to visit if you like history. And the gardens provide a peaceful haven for a calm and relaxed meditation
Battle Museum of Local History的点评
点评：The Musium itself was surprisingly larger than it first appeared. There are some interesting finds with a lot of information on offer.
The volunteers on duty were very welcoming and knowledgeable. John and Ann were wonderful and very happy to help and impart what they knew. They made it interesting and their enthusiasm was infectious. I lovely history but I am sure they would create interest for anyone.

Facts and insight on the biotapestry. I wish I had arrived earlier, I returned the following day to find the Musium closed. Its unfortunate I would have relished some more insights but when something is run by volunteers you have to accept that sometimes they can not open.
As I arrived I was taken with the lovely front garden, which was well kept without being overly fussy. It had a variety of benches, invitingly places for people to sit and enjoy the environment. I took advantage of this space and was rewarded with a view of a family of Jenny Wrens and other birds and bees.
It wasn't very easy for me to get around but with a carer it would have been easier. The rear garden had steps and narrow pathways to an accessable toilet. The toilet was clean and well layed out but I am not sure I would call it accessable.
I travelled by bus the 1066 runs straight through the high street so very accessable by local transport
