The Ross County Historical Society的点评
点评：These small city historical museums seem to never disappoint.
Chillicothe was instrumental in the establishmdnt of Ohio as a state, and was the state capitol for the first years.
The museum is set up in three areas. You start with the early history of Chillicothe, seeing several rooms of displays about its founders and leaders. Moving into a largeer room, there are tables celebrating the cty's robus German heritage. To the rear of that room is an extremely rewarding display of historical transportation. Their collection is remarkable, with preseverd horse-drawn bandwagon, hearse, firetruck, and more. Of speical note is the lovingly restored Logan Model f Runabout, a 1905 product of the Chillicothe auto manufacturer that operated 1903-08--so many small auto start-ups in that era!
Note that parts of the museum are off limits unless you pay for the guided tour. I dislike guided tours but the cost is $2 so for many it would be a bargain.
It was an hour well spent.
