点评：During my journey through Armenia, I visited Goshavank Monastery, nestled in the Tavush region’s lush green hills. Despite the rain, the site’s beauty and serenity offered a glimpse into Armenia’s rich cultural past.
Goshavank, founded in the 12th century by scholar Mkhitar Gosh, served as a religious and educational center. The monastery’s architecture, intricate khachkars, and simple church interiors reflect centuries of devotion and artistry. There is an especially nice stone cross to the left of the chapel that was etched in 1291. It is an incredible piece of art that has survived for centuries.
The tranquil landscape surrounding Goshavank created a peaceful atmosphere, making my visit both reflective and memorable. This historic site is a must-see for anyone traveling through Armenia.
