Facilities need improvement.
Rabbit Ings Country Park的点评
点评：The first and most important thing to mention before I move on, is the lack of facilities. There is a fabulous car park and large prefabricated building. There is a Rangers Station, but there are no toilets, even for people with disabilities. If you have travelled to Rabbit Ings from any distance and need the loo you are in trouble. There is no outside tap or bowl to hydrate your furry friends, staff were on site when visited.
The paths are very good and wide in most places.
As you leave the car park there is a map of the different walks which was helpful. Unfortunately as you walk round there is no more signage to help. This means that when you reach a fork in the path you are not sure which way to go.
This can result in you walking much further or on steeper paths than you anticipated. This is not good for disabled people or those with limited ability.
There was one sign which I assumed was half way round but it was just a carbon copy of the one in the car park and did not indicate where you were.
The environmental and wildlife are great and the view from the summit is fab. I got there by mistake due to the lack of signage but it was worth it.
Apart from the car park waste bin and one dog waste bin at the beginning of the walk, I did not encounter any other bins. This has resulted in people bagging their dog was but then throwing it into hedges. People do not want to carry smelling waste around with them for long and more bins would prevent this.
I felt very safe while walking, there were plenty of other loan females around and the people I encountered were very friendly.
I did notice a picnic area and seating along the paths where you could rest and admire the views.
I will return and explore more paths.
