点评：Everything is closed other than the gift shop and basic museum. Positive experience of this is to walk around the perimeter of the peninsula Island to see the views and the water and maybe a sunset but oh wait, you can’t see a sunset here because they close at 5:30! Even though the website online says it would close at 2000 –8 PM for us Americans, it does not, they will tell you there that the website is wrong, but they’re not excited to fix it. They close at 5:30 PM which is when everybody shows up so on my way out I told 8 to 10 people that they were closed. We all found ourselves going over to the lighthouse to see the similar view, but it also beat the southern/Western, most point of Europe. The lady at the gift shop was super nice and we bought hoodies because it was so cold because of the wind so if you are gonna go here, bring a hoodie or a jacket or pants or something cause the wind cuts right through you! The rocks will assault your skin! There are a lot of things to see the outside of but you cannot go into them because they’re closed. I asked the lady the gift shop. Is there anything to see that we missed? She said there’s a lot of cool things but they’re all closed and the tagline of the day became “but it’s closed. “ they’re more than happy to take the standard price though at the front which is not horrible but still kind of a bummer to get a view that’s free almost everywhere else in Portugal although we had a good time in spite of it making fun of myself for paying for a free view. The fortress is huge and right now undergoing maintenance so there’s scaffolding everywhere to go into a fortress that they don’t have open anyway through the rest of the year. Cheers!
