点评:We had never been to Newmarket before, and to be honest, with their lack of accurate market and poor service delivery, it simply spoils the experience of this great and iconic racecourse.
We paid a premium to have great views from Champions Lawn and my wife put together a great picnic, just as the website suggests. Thing is, you can't take a picnic into Champions Lawn but you have to go to Garden Enclosure. Trouble is, you can't go into Garden Enclosure with a premium ticket. You have to have your picnic in the car park...but we came by public transport! Hastily drank our premium champagne outside the entrance, then put picnic into luggage storage, 2 races missed. Now we got into Champions Lawn. No reservations for seats, fair enough, so sat at a vacant table. 10 minute later,a couple came up and said it was their table ( we were having our drinks by then) . We said there were no reservations, so she got a staff member. We were turfed off,but no where else to sit. We explained that we were told there were no reservations. She said " it's always been this way". We suggested maybe the course should provide something to show a table was occupied?". Her reply "we know most people and it's always been this way".maybe she still zero progress, no interest in customer satisfaction, nothing should ever improve? Will be back, no. There are far better organised race courses and events than this one. Oh yes,race course itself was fantastic, just a shame they depend on it's reputation instead of developing a great customer experience..
