点评:So we have a converted church that is home to a two-storey antiques shop, which, like all good antiques outlets, has a real bits and pieces feel. So you might find silver Star Wars figurines next to 19th-century grandfather clocks, that kind of thing. But then, once you simply can't take any more antiques, you can retire to the tea shop. My advice is to book ahead because it's usually full most of the day, for very good reason. Delicious food that's never let us down, all served by extremely polite and efficient staff who also have a healthy dose of humour about them. There are restaurant-quality dishes (seafood platters, fish of the day, posh burgers, lovely looking Full English breakfasts...) and sandwiches for those with a smaller appetite. When we went, my wife spotted a Snoopy bag in their storeoom, and we have a friend who is Snoppy obsessed. So she asked if she could buy it. The bag wasn't an antique nor technically on sale, but the lovely guy who owned it (it's from Tescos, it turns out) gave it to us for nothing. Hooray for everybody!
