点评：During my stay on Sao Miguel with my family I booked a mountainbike guided trip on e-bikes for a day. Everything was easy and organised professionally by Bárbara and Emanuel. The booking went smooth and Bárbara was very responsive in answering questions. The pick up was very well taken care off. I was staying in Sete Cidades and had a car. So we agreed to meet up close to Ponta Delgada where Emanuel picked me up with two other riders that booked for the day. From there onwards we went to the west of the Island where half way we hit the first trail. This trail was build and maintained by Emanuel and the local riders himself and was very well done. Through thick local trees on a well maintained and wide enough single track to blast downhill. Manuel took great care to make sure we were riding fun trails with technical elements within our comfort zone not to do anything too stupid and ruin your holiday with an injury. From there on with his car with trailer he took us the the most western part where we tried out several trails as well. He would always plan the ride in such a way that we would end up back at the car so we could get water / snacks.
We rode the whole day until about 14:30 after which we had lunch in a small village on the coast where we got amazing fish. All included in the trip, like the snacks and water.
All in all a perfect day! I would recommend Azores Mountainbike holidays to anyone who wants to do some local riding and explore the island on the mountain bike. The e-bike option was great given they rend out good bikes that are well maintained and give you more options to do downhill and explore the area.
