Captain Andreas Boat Trip to Samiopoula的点评
点评：I just did the day tour to Samiopoula with Captain Andreas’ boat. It was a very nice experience.
Although it’s more of a day at sea and a nice lunch on a private beach, rather than a long stay around Samiopoula, it was very enjoyable.
The boat leaves Pythagorio port at around 9:15 and returns around 17:30.
It takes about an hour to reach Samiopoula.
I’d say we were somewhere between 50–70 people on board this particular day.
Once the vessel is anchored in Samiopoula, you can walk for a couple of minutes to the other side where the main beach is. The water is beautiful there and there was only one more boat, so not too many people.
However, the wind and waves are no joke, so if you’re looking for more calm waters, this isn’t the place for you.
The stop is for about one hour, which gives you time to splash around a little, get some sun and then walk back to the boat.
The next stop is at a beach back on Samos island, that has umbrellas and chairs, as well as the barbecue area with tables for lunch and a simple toilet further back.
At the beginning of the trip, the crew ask if you want meat, fish or a vegetarian alternative, and the captain prepares that by the grill.
I had the fish and it was delicious. It came with a potato salad, some Greek salad, bread, tzatziki and bits of feta cheese for us to share.
The main drinks were not included in the price, but there is water, beer, wine and soft drinks to purchase. We were also offered shots of orange juice, ouzo and even coffee during the day, as well as slices of watermelon and some salad leftovers on the way back.
The crew were very welcoming and clear with instructions in both English and Greek. There was space for everyone and the boat was very clean.
I would definitely recommend this tour and I’m looking forward to my next trip with Captain Andreas’ boat in a few days.
