Title Silver Sands Pub – Where Freshness Goes to Die (Along With Customer Service)

点评：If you’re ever in Heacham and fancy paying top-notch prices for bottom-of-the-freezer quality, look no further than the Silver Sands Pub.
We were a table of eight, with high hopes (silly us) of enjoying some proper seaside pub grub. Five of us ordered the “cod” fish and chips (£12.95 each) — you know, that classic, fresh-by-the-sea experience? Instead, we got the kind of frozen fish, oven chips, and peas you’d find in a supermarket value pack… on a bad day. None of us could eat it.
My sister splashed out £26 on a steak, which turned out to be about 1cm thick, mostly fat, and apparently worth an extra 10p if you want a tiny sachet of mustard. Yes — you read that right — twenty-six pounds for the steak, but mustard is extra.
When we complained (politely at first), the manager’s charm offensive began… by “offensive,” I mean literally offensive. She declared, “We’re not a fish and chip shop,” as if that excused serving subpar food at the beach. Many pubs manage beautiful fish and chips, but apparently, that’s too ambitious here.
She also made sure to remind us that “no one else complains.” Odd, since the place was virtually empty — must be because of all those satisfied customers who never return. And in case you were wondering, no refunds here — even when plates are barely touched. We were told they “don’t need” our custom and “don’t care” about a bad review.
Well… mission accomplished.
If Silver Sands was charging Wetherspoon prices, we’d have let it slide. But charging fresh-food prices for frozen slop, with a side order of rudeness? No thanks. Save your money, save your appetite, and maybe go anywhere else.

她还特意提醒我们“没有其他人抱怨”。这很奇怪，因为店里几乎空无一人——一定是因为那些满意的顾客再也不来了。而且，如果你想知道，这里不退款——即使盘子几乎没动过。我们被告知他们“不需要”我们的光顾，也“不在乎”差评。
