Decent course with Cali Vibe

点评：Was turned on to this course by postings/articles by Golf Channel’s Matt Ginella and the efforts to restore this old mini course into a course for “average Joes” and laid back vibe.
Located right off I-5 about 39 min north of San Diego it is a hilly short course (par 65 and no par 5s). Despite being “short” it does have some forced tee box carries (but there are tee boxes on other side of the carries.) Course condition was decent, will say greens were very well maintained and moved well. Some construction on course and looks like continued improvements being made. I was able to rent clubs; greens fees reasonable (especially if local resident), definitely a laid back vibe with tshirts and dogs on course but everyone respectful of the golf game. Worth a round if you are in the area.
