Underwhelming & pricey spa day. Cheap products, under trained & junior therapists.

点评：A bit of an annual thing, a few of us visit before xmas for a spa day. This was our 4th visit, and sadly the quality of treatment hasn’t delivered for the past 2 years.
At £210 for 4 hours in the spa and a treatment, it is very pricey.
The spa itself and the facilities are great, and it is really quiet which is a huge bonus; happy to pay more because you’re not surrounded by wowcher spa days and hen parties drinking prosecco all day!
But sadly the quality of treatment isn’t great.
I couldn’t tell you my therapist’s name as she didn’t introduce herself. The poor girl also had a cold and couldn’t breathe well at all; which is unfortunately not what you want from someone delivering an hour’s worth of massage & facial treatment.
The products used are incredibly over fragranced and when we left the treatment suite we all had balling product on our skin and had to wash it off straight away. Thick, clogging creams that smell so strongly of vanilla. Unpleasant.
The massage was underwhelming and seemed like it was a half hearted delivery unfortunately; and it would’ve been nice to be able to choose a massage oil aroma I actually liked, but sadly this wasn’t offered.
I have previously complained via email to the spa about the quality of treatment and products used but I simply received a passive aggressive email from the spa manager who seemed too arrogant to accept feedback.
Unfortunately we won’t be returning again; whilst the facilities are lovely the extremely junior staff delivering treatments are lacking in experience and the therapies are extremely underwhelming. For a luxury spa, the products and therapists do not match up to the price tag.
