点评:Fabulous place consisting of western rain forest covered hills and 2 small freshwater lochs and numerous trails with some stunning viewpoints and wildlife galore. Went on a Monday but for some reason was closed so went back a few days later as we really wanted to see truly wild beavers. All the ones in England are in enclosures whereas these are free to go and be beavers! Met by wonderful and passionate staff at the visitor centre who couldn’t be more helpful and let us use the hide to observe red squirrels and various woodland birds. Took a walk along the trail giving amazing vistas of the Crinan / Lochgilphead canal. Realising beavers are unlikely to be seen in the day we signed up for an evening walk at £14 each which was good value for a 2.5 hour amble around the nearest loch where a family of beavers live. The parents were introduced there on 2009 as part of the original trial. Lots of commentary from the guides and then half an hour or so watching 3 beavers from a hide. They came within feet but sadly too dark to photograph easily. Well recommend for any nature lover.
