Go to a river instead - not worth the resources to go here
The Fugitive Beach的点评
点评：First, the price is not the same online as it is in person. The price online is about $18 per adult/$15 per kid. In person, the price was about $30 per adult/$20 per kid. And they still charged us with a 2 year old (we could prove her age).
Second, there is clearly not some kind of filtration system because the water is awful. It seems like the pics taken in the marketing photos/website phots were taken at the beginning of the season when no one was in the water for a while. Not sure what can be done but there is a ton of modern technology that allows for even partial filtration (some kind of waterfall would be helpful to moving the water at the very least).
Third, the toilets are disgusting. It seems as though this started off as a local entertainment place that grew but the owners haven't kept up with the demand and invested into permanent features such as restrooms/actual showers.
Fourth, they have no phone number. So you can't call to get clarity of information which is crucial when you are traveling from over 1+ hours.
Overall, it seems like this location had potential to be much better but investments were not made were they could've made this product exponentially better; ie permanent bathroom facilities, some kind of water filtration system, phone number, general advice (people should bring water shoes), etc. On top of this, if you read the google reviews, the response to most of the complaints is that the person went on the weekend and thats the reason for their poor experience. Its just unacceptable customer service. Who actually has time to go during the week. Again, the facility is not prepared for the demand and the owners are clearly not interested in investing in their own facility.
I know its a small area and its tough to find fun things to do, especially with kids, but I would recommend going to a river instead. Fugitive Beach is not worth the money or travel to get there.
