Worth a stop, even when the Museum's interior exhibits are not open.
Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum的点评
点评：The most prominent of its many hidden treasures is the majestic four-story pre-WWII Art Deco style WPA airport hangar. Vintage Wings and Wheels members relocated and restored this metal siding over a steel structural frame accented by sandstone veneer after disassembling and moving it from Waukesha, Wisconsin, which was slated for demolition in the 1990s.
Equally impressive is being able to drive into its Sonoco gas station, stand in the shadow of the 16-foot bronze statue of aviation legend, Elrey B. Jeppesen, and the 1930s era prefabricated Slim's Garage.
We would have loved it even more if the museum were open, sadly many of today's historical places lack adequate funding to adequately staff far too many awesome museums.
