Enhance your time at Carnarvon Gorge - spend time with Michelle and/or Simon

点评：We have just completed a wondrous week at Carnarvon Gorge. During that time we took a Night Tour with Simon leading and Michelle spotting. We were lucky to see Yellow Bellied Gliders in flight and Greater Gliders watching us, watching them. As well we watched as a Barking Owl devoured a Currawong. We appreciated the use of the binoculars that were provided. Simon’s enthusiasm for and knowledge about the gliders was evident. We enjoyed learning about the night time environment.
We were also privileged to spend a day with Michelle on an ‘Off the Beaten Track’ tour. We spent a lot of time rock hopping but our hiking poles and Michelle’s consideration and care ensured we remained safe and comfortable at all times. Michelle brewed up an excellent cuppa in a remote gorge, pointed out dingo tracks, mosquito and green hood orchids and shared her wide knowledge of the geology, botany and wildlife that make Carnarvon Gorge such a special place. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and our day’s adventure with Michelle.
On another day we happened to coincide with Michelle and her tour group at the Art Gallery site. When we listened in we realised how much knowledge Michelle had of this sacred area. If we were staying longer we would have made sure to join one of these tours as well.
We felt very fortunate about the time we spent with Simon and Michelle. Their knowledge, respect and love for their worksite is obvious and contagious. Our trip to Carnarvon Gorge was definitely enhanced by our participation in their tours.
