点评：A Spring visit to Carnarvon Gorge, we spent three days there. First day we ‘free hiked’ to Cathedral Cave & return. Next evening Simon took our group of eight on a nearly two hour walk about a kilometre into the gorge over creek crossing #1. The depth of his knowledge ensured that we spotted, or were rather shown a variety of fauna that we couldn’t have known was there. His hearing was remarkable attuned to the forest sounds and his commentary was spot on.
Day three was our guided Lower Gorge Explorer, walking to the Art Gallery, the Amphitheatre, and the Moss Garden. Although all are self accessible, having Michelle guide us was priceless. As Senior Savannah Guides, whose motto is ‘Protectors & Interpreters of the Outback,’ both Simon & Michelle exemplified this and added so much richness to our experience in the Gorge. Their accumulated knowledge, experience and obvious love of what they do was what really enhanced our visit.
