Mostly lovely - aside from the food poisoning!

点评：We mostly had a lovely day for my husbands birthday. My husband is blind and as the changing rooms are not unisex, we needed someone to be able to walk him through and show him where to find everything. This was quite the struggle as there were no male staff members around and we had to wait for a considerably long time before I suggested that one of the female members of staff did it and simply announced themselves before entering. The facilities were nice, although some not working (the snow room was warm…) and we were lucky to have such nice weather that we really felt like we had a choice of spaces to enjoy. However, lunch was not well planned at all. We were assigned a time and when we turned up, we were told (20 minutes after our time) that we hadn’t been booked in and they were quite obviously swamped and struggling to keep up. Unfortunately, my husband also got really bad food poisoning from the buffet lunch, which isn’t too surprising given how warm it was and there were flies everywhere. Apart from that, we had eaten all the same things and I was fine! That aside, the pool was delightful, the grounds were beautiful and if we had the opportunity to go back at the same price (we had a deal) then maybe we would try again, but we definitely wouldn’t pay full price.
