点评：Up,out and about on a beautiful and very warm August morning, my twin brother and I decided to cross over the Ponte Infante Dom Henrique over to the city of Vila Nova De Gaia which I naively thought was part of Porto until my twin brother corrected me and informed me that Vila Nova De Gaia is a city in its own right separated from Porto by the majestic River Douro, we were walking along the riverfront of Vila Nova De Gaia and decided to drop into Casa Kopke and I must say our visit was amazing.
This is the oldest port house in Vila Nova De Gaia, interior is superb, beautifully furnished and decorated tastefully throughout, a tasting room and staff who are absolutely fantastic, its just a really good port house to relax in.
We were greeted and seated by a very pleasant member of the bar team, we sampled some great port wines which were amazing, we had to try the famous colheita's ( single vintage dated tawny port aged in barrels ) ,this was an amazing port ,so tasty, loved it ,loved our visit here ,we not only enjoyed the various port wines we sampled but we also learned so much ,couldn't fault anything about our visit here before we moved on.
Casa Kopke is easy to locate along Avenida Diogo Leite which is an amazing area to check out.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, 10am till 7pm.
Well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning a holiday or trip to the city of Vila Nova De Gaia.
