点评:I visited what was the Royal Quays in North Shields a few years ago and my review commented on the derelict Soccerdome next to the shopping centre and the amount of empty shops. Well, the Soccerdome has finally been demolished and there have been some attempts to improve what is now Newcastle Quays.
Obviously the downturn in the retail industry and the move to online shopping has meant there are a considerable number of empty shops and two have been converted into a dance studio and a martial arts dojo, but Newcastle Quays is trying hard to improve. There are two really good baby shops in the shopping centre, I bought some clothes in one for my soon to be born nephew, Next, Pavers, Garden World and Clarks still have outlets, and there is model shop.
I think three stars is all this once bustling shopping centre is worth, but at least it's not as barren as it was a few years ago. Also a restaurant rather than cafes like Costa would bring in more visitors.

Next、Pavers、Garden World
