点评:We hiked to the peak of Lang Biang and ir was definitely worth the effort!
Still you really need to be fit and active enough, take proper hiking shoes and I recommend hiking poles (we did it without but they can be really useful). In total it took us about 4.5 hours up and down again, so it‘s a good one-day activity.
Due to heavy rainfall the day before, we were told at the entrance that the highest peak was closed. We payed the entrance fee but if you take the path to the right of the main entrance (see photos by other people) you actually don‘t need to pay anything at all.
Because of landslides, the small path had turned into a lot of mud and puddles and even though we asked the locals and seemed to be in the right track, at some point we just started going uphill through the forest because we could make out a path (do not recommend this, it was really exhausting). If there‘s been heavy rainfall, better take the main road to go up to the viewpoint (or take a car up to the radar peak and walk to the viewpoint from there).
The man in the hut at the viewpoint was very friendly and told us that even though the path to the highest peak is officially closed, we could still try and go, we weren‘t the only ones that day to go.
The path to the highest peak is at first really nice, feels like more of a nice walk with some good views over Da Lat. The second part is a bit up and down but still manageable. The last 700 m are quite a challenge, steep steps and a lot of mud. At one point, we even saw a landslide that had partially destroyed the path. Luckily there are some ropes to help you climb up the steps. At the top you can enjoy the gorgeous view over Da Lat and the landscape.
You should try this 100% if you‘re looking for a bit of a challenge with some nice views :)
