A great way to spend an evening, but sadly no horoscopes...
Hidden Horizons的点评
点评：We joined the famous North Yorkshire rap posse ,"Hidden Horizons featuring Astro Dog" for a stargazing evening in Dolby in mid January. Sadly for the team, (but happily for us!) we were the only ones booked to attend.
Considering the unpredictability of the main event (i.e. The Sky), the team did a really good job of providing an interesting and interactive evening. We loved their enthusiasm and the generous way they shared their knowledge (and biscuits).
They had an inflatable planetarium just in case the views of the heavens were obscured by clouds. They'd also set up a number of different types of telescopes for a hands-on demo. They finished the evening off with an interesting slide show of astrophotography and a demonstration of starfinding software.
An additional bonus was simply being in the forest at night - and the prospect os seeing owls, bats, badgers and the like.
Would have been 5 stars had it not been for the poor signage from the carpark to the base (maybe some 'glow in the dark' stars to light the way?).
Oh yes, and don't expect them to do you a horoscope - evidently that's a different ology.
